Mud Pump Valves come in several shapes, sizes and styles. The three most highly used on the market are cast bonded valves, snap on valves and specialty frac valves. Cast bonded valves generally come in 6”,7” and 8’ diameters and range from entry level urethane to high end high temperature options. Snap on valves or mechanically bonded valves are available in several different styles that range from, roughnecks, FO’s, UDD’s to JWS and JSC inserts. Urethanes rang from entry level all the way to high temperature options. Due to the extreme pressures and environment that frac valves are used in we only use the highest end urethanes for these valves. The material is specifically manufactured to deal with the pressure, heat and abrasion the valves are put through. There are several different styles of frac valves with the most popular being direct cast bonding.
